INSPIRATION

Photo by OFRI The first time I recall recognizing that what I felt was DELIGHT set me on an adventure to capture that feeling as often as possible.  To look for things in the world around me that inspired that instantaneous heart stopping inbreath that brought pure pleasure and happiness.   I was hiking with a group of women on Cougar Mountain in the Issaquah, Washington area.  We were trudging along in the damp, misty, almost-rainy forest in December.  We had just came off a downhill section of the trail and were moving across a flat when I looked up from watching my step to see right in front of me a Christmas Tree! In the middle of next to nowhere! Some beautiful person had come to the forest with glass balls, icicles, bows, tinsel and a giving spirit!  My heart jumped. My breath caught. And then delighted awe and laughter ensued. It was so unexpected there in the forest, and absolutely gorgeous! (No lights

RAINBOW OVER MALTBY

These photos in no way do justice to this awesome rainbow  I saw today. Driving from Monroe to Maltby,  I  got to watch it the entire way!  I could only take   the photo because traffic was NOT                                                            moving.  Typical of a morning on that road.                                                                                                                                       I could see every color in the bow, bright and glorious.  And the bow went across the sky from left horizon to right, a full rainbow.  It stayed for a long time...10 or 15 minutes or more.  Just to make me happy, I think!

MONDAY MONDAY

I saw this little guy as I got out of my car this morning at work. He was just beside the left hand front tire. I'm so glad I parked well!  He was moving along like he had all the time in the world. Doot di Doo! A fleeting moment of delight...fleeting for me anyway! I wonder if time moves differently when you're a snail?   While I don't have a photo, when I came back to my car some six hours later, he had doot di doo-ed his way under the Outback, all the way to outside the right hand rear tire! I was duly impressed by his fortitude and the well-spent, productive day he had enjoyed! Have a DELIGHTFUL day!
